For those of you who have visited this site since January 2003, you have seen the number of documents increase. We are entering a transition phase. We hope you will visit and join us in our efforts to provide access and preserve the historical documents of Sanbornton, New Hampshire. The Foundation will establish and maintain two collections:

The Sanbornton Public Digital Collection -This collection will be made available at no cost to visitors. We are working to have this collection consist of recent Town Reports, Selectman Minutes, and Tax Maps. We will be adding Selectman Minutes for 2007 as volunteers are available. We trust that those who utilize this collection will support our efforts to provide public access by becoming a member and volunteer of the Foundation.

The Sanbornton Historical Digital Library -This collection will be made available to members of the Foundation. Members will have a username and password to access the Library.This collection will contain historical and contemporaneous documents (more than two years old). The documents in this collection have been scanned, in some cases transcribed, and processed through Optical Character Recognition software so they will be searchable. This work is done by volunteers and is a slow and painstaking process of scanning, proofreading, and verification to the original document.
